Monarch Fire Technology.
Our ABN is 15618502015 our ACN is 618502015

We're a sister business to Walnut Energy Systems, originally a Microgrid Developer. Our own requirements for the protection of energy related assets caused us to seek out this new Fire Shield product.

Where are you based?
In Rockdale NSW, a lovely suburb in Sydney.

Who has tested the Fire Shield?
The University of Alberta Canada originally tested the product.
Testing and certification in Australia is currently underway.
We're happy to provide you with test results and documentation. These are available on from the homepage.

Are the Fire Shields reusable?
Yes. Fire Shields are very durable and will resist abrasion and tearing during use. When the fire threat has passed they can be rolled and stored for many more uses.

If I only cover my roof will that be enough?
We recommend that you wrap your entire home. Any uncovered area potentially leaves your home open to fire.

Do you guarantee this will save my home?
No. We make no claims or guarantees that the use of this product can or will prevent damage or combustion to your property or structure. Due to the extreme conditions, high heat, high winds, low humidity, and unpredictability associated with all fires it is impossible to make such guarantees. We do believe it is an effective strategy to help protect your home from bushfires and may increase its chances of survival.

How long does it take to put up the Fire Shield?
Once you spread the shields out you quickly see that using a 139m2 piece of material quickly covers large areas. There is no one way to wrap all houses but it's easier than you might think. Just start at the top and work down. Most structures can be covered in less than a couple hours by 2 or 3 people. Most of the time is used securing the shields for optimum wind resistance.

To cover the roof, just take a roll to the roof and unroll it. Position it where you want it and place sandbags or weights on it to hold it in place.

To cover the walls unroll a shield at one corner of the house. Using a staple gun tack one end under the eave and work around the house using a step ladder. Place sandbags or weights on the bottom or use staples for maximum strength and wind resistance.

How heavy is it?
Fire Shields weigh approximately 220 gram per m2. When working with the shields you unroll them and one person can easily move an entire shield with a simple fluff move. Like spreading a sheet on the bed, an air cushion forms under the shield allowing it to be moved with surprising ease.

How do I store it?
Roll it back up and put it away in your garage or shed. It's an inert product and will not rust/rot or be otherwise affected.

We make no claims or statements, or offers any assurance or assurances, guarantees, promises, either direct or implied, as to the effectiveness or suitability of its products to protect any property or possessions from fire damage or any other calamity whether anticipated or foreseen.

Due to the extreme conditions of high heat, high winds, low humidity, and unpredictability associated with all fires it is impossible to make such guarantees. Before using, the user agrees to assume all risks and liabilities in connection with deployment, application, use and/or storage of Fire Shields. Sellers and manufacturers only obligation shall be to replace any Fire Shields found to be defective within one year from the date of purchase.

It is important to understand that even if you fully wrap your home in the Fire Shield it may still burn down.

Please see our terms and conditions for complete disclosure.

Why do you require acceptance of Terms & Conditions before purchase?
The Fire Shield is designed to reflect radiant heat and as such can greatly help in bushfire conditions. However, it is not perfect. Incorrect installation, heat greater than its rated capacity, winds, humidity and a variety of other factors can impact the use of the Fire Shield. There is a real possibility the Fire Shield does not save your home. We need to be perfectly clear about this and therefore require you to accept the T&C's before purchasing the product.

Why do you require a Liability Release form to be signed?
Due to extreme conditions associated with wildfires including high heat, high winds, low humidity, and the unpredictability associated with all fires we cannot make any guarantees of suitability or performance. This release form must be initialled and signed where indicated by the purchaser acknowledging agreement and unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions as set forth within the release form as a condition of any sale or rental between the purchaser and Monarch Fire Technology.

We try to make it perfectly clear that the Fire Shield may not save your home.

The release form can be accessed here

So... you're not sure?
The Fire Shield works exactly to its specifications and it increases your home's chances of survival. It improves the chances of survival, it does not guarantee it. To our knowledge no other product does.

Think of it this way - if you step out in the rain you get wet. Using an umbrella doesn't guarantee you stay dry, but certainly increases your chances.
